Linlithgow Palace – Weekly Hump Day Photo
Happy Hump Day! What is Hump Day you may ask yourself? Check out this quick description then come right back…
Each Wednesday we post up a picture of something that we have found helps us imagine NOT being at work and helps us get to the weekend faster. It could be just a relaxing beach, a surfing location, a great snorkelling spot, a destination, well you get the idea.
Where In The World This Week?
Linlithgow Palace has so far been one of our favourite, if not most favourite, Historic sites in Scotland. Linlithgow Palace was the birth place of Mary Queen of Scots and many other Royal family members over 500 years ago.
It is one of the largest and grandest looking buildings we had visited even though it is in ruins now. We could only imagine what kind of parties and shindigs that they used to throw here.
There seemed to be hundreds of rooms and HUGE hallways connected by endless stairwells snaking endlessly within the thick smooth stone walls. How the hell did they used to keep themselves warm?
If you are ever visiting Scotland then make sure you take a day trip out from Edinburgh or Glasgow as it is one trip you will not regret.
What memories does this photo evoke to help you get over Hump Day?

Amazing castle!! Scotland is one of my favourite country! Any time I’ve a getaway available I try to get there! Though it’s a country I know pretty good I missed out this castle! I’ll put in on my list of the attactions to see on ny next trip! Waht’s about the memory evoked by this castle? It could be obvious but it reminds me something linked to medieval time!
Cheers Francesca! What other castles did you visit last time?
