Florence Sunset

Florence sunset photos

Can you imagine many things better than sitting with a glass of chilled white wine, watching the sunset over a gorgeous city in a foreign country? If you are imagining a scene better than the picture above then we want to hear about it so we can book our flights right now!

After gorging ourselves on aperitivo’s in Florence we strolled hand in hand across Ponte Vecchio bridge up to Piazzale Michelangelo to watch the sunset on another fantastic day in Italy. With the Doumo breaking the cities skyline and the Tuscan hills at our backs we sipped our wines contemplating whether our travels could get any sweeter.

The best part about this was that we were only staying 2 minutes walk down the road at the only campground in Florence; Plus Camping Michelangelo. Great if you have a campervan or just want somewhere to stay on a budget as they also provide tents with bunkbeds and all the trimmings.

Reader question: Tell us about one of your favourite sunset spots from around the world.

  3. Cole, We stayed in the tents with real beds when we stayed. Anyone camping in Florence should book in at the camping site with a view!
